WORLD AIDS DAY

World AIDS Day, is observed on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. Government and health officials, non-governmental organizations, and individuals around the world observe the day, often with education on AIDS prevention and control.

EXPLORE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL had also conducted an awareness programme on Aids Day. The Biology teachers had arranged an introductory session with a Power Point Presentation along with an interactive session to male students aware of the deadly disease. Students also distributed red ribbons as the red ribbon is the universal symbol of awareness and support for people living with HIV. Wearing a ribbon is a great way to raise awareness on and during the run up to World AIDS Day. The purpose of the World Aids Day celebration every year to well support the Member States in order to build up the new and effective policies and programmes, to strengthen the health systems as well as to increase the capacity of health sectors towards HIV/AIDS.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

CHRISTMAS is celebrated at Explore International School in a magnificent way. On 21st December the school campus was beautifully coloured with the colour of joy. Students have celebrated the joy of love, the joy of being kind, the joy of being selfless and above all the joy of the birth of the Christ. As a part of activity the students had made snow man, Santa Claus, Christmas tree and decorated the boards with the colours of CHRISTMAS.

Students presented skits, songs, dances to celebrate the day. The school has arranged a Christmas party for the students. Students also felt blessed to have Santa Claus at the school campus. Students learn the cultural variations and yet the bond of love, warmth, cheer and selflessness that bind mankind together. To sum up then, Christmas should be celebrated in schools and involving students from all faiths and castes to make them understand UNITY IN DIVERSITY.

NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY

In India, the National Mathematics Day is observed on December 22 every year. It is celebrated in order to honour the birth anniversary of the famous mathematician Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan. The school made the students familiar with the renowned mathematicians like Sir Ramanujan, Sakuntala Devi, Aryabhatta, Mahalanobis. The work of these mathematicians inspired the students a lot. It had helped them to know how one’s hard work helps them to reach the apex of success. Students made geometrical shapes by using string, pins and soft boards. Through this, students were able to know the relation between visual arts with Mathematics. Activities comprising puzzle games, riddles were conducted by the students.

The main objective is to provide a forum to the students to pursue their natural curiosity and stimulate interest among them in Mathematics, developing in students the habit and skills to use mathematics to describe the world, to remove maths-phobia from the minds of the students.

CELEBRATION OF REPUBLIC DAY

EXPLORE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL celebrated Republic Day with pride and honour. Republic Day is an official holiday but our school celebrated this day by hoisting National Flag followed by parade and a tricoloured programme .The students marched inside the campus of the school and they felt proud to be an Indian. The children were dressed in Tri-colour. The School was decorated in Tri-colour and the students sang patriotic songs, performed skit and organized a dance drama. At last National Anthem was sung by the students.

The celebration of this day has brought utmost joy to the students. They have understood the real meaning of democracy and they have taken oath to become more responsible as a citizen of India.

CELEBRATION OF BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF NETAJI

Explore International School auspiciously celebrated the birth anniversary of the great warrior and orator Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on 24th January 2019. In the morning of 24 the January 2019 our Principal Ma’am and CEO sir were present to pay homage to the patriot. Our respected Principal Ma’am garlanded the portrait of Netaji which was followed by a small programme.

The celebration of famous patriots’ birthdays convey a positive vibe to the students. Their strengths inspire the students to become more particular towards their nation.

SAY NO TO PLASTICS

The public campaigning was successfully accomplished. Children were not only made aware about the disadvantages of using plastic. In fact it was their turn today to spread the message “Say No to Plastic” . Children went for a public campaigning that included exchange of plastic bottles to copper bottles. Usage of jute bags is much more environment friendly and can make our planet a better place to live in. They talked to the villagers regarding the advantages of using the substitute of plastic.

IGKO EXAMS

Student of EIS got the opportunity to get themselves enrolled in the International level SOF Examination ( Science Olympiad Foundation). The IGKO Exam(International General Knowledge Olympiad) was scheduled and it was successfully conducted. Students have learned much more than their assigned curriculum being a part of the examination.

CELEBRATION OF GANDHI JAYANTI

Gandhi Jayanti Celebration by Primary section of EIS was an ultimate success. Such a wonderful day to remember the mighty personality “Mahatma Gandhi”. The day was full of activities and various performances in different categories were held. It was an opportunity for the students to pay homage to the “Father of the Nation”.

GREEN DAY ACTIVITY

Through “Green day activity” Gandhiji was remembered once again. The 150th Birth Anniversary was celebrated with significant accuracy. The Primary section came together to make several formations that would put up the real motive of the celebration.

MANN KI BAAT

Mann Ki Baat session was a real success. Such counselling sessions can make children get aware of their own thoughts. The slide shows that were shown were quite encouraging. Students were made to think in their own way. The main aim of the session was to pour in optimism within the young crowd.
